How to Apply

How to Apply For Our Sale: 

Eligible Cattle:

- Our sales are open to AHCA registered cattle. We do not except non-registered cattle, crossbreds, or cattle registered to any other association. 

- We will not consign semen or embryos

- If you wish to consign a bull over 12 months of age. A breeding exam must be preformed by a licensed veterinarian.

- Females 2 years of age or older will either be sold as open, bull exposed, or confirmed bred. 

  1. Open = Female that is not pregnant and has not been exposed to a bull
  2. Bull exposed = possibility pregnant, not vet checked. A timeline with the bull must be given if this applies. Along with Bull's AHCA Registration Name & Number. 
  3. Confirmed bred =  you must have a licensed veterinarian preform a pregnancy check via ultrasound. Ultrasound date, gestation due date, natural service or A.I'ed will all be required information. Along with Bull's AHCA Registration Name & Number. 

- Calves sold individually must be at least 6 months of age AND weaned. If AHCA registration is still pending, that must be disclosed. 

- Cow/Calf Pairs can be sold. If selling as a pair, the calf can be less than 6 months old. Same information requirements apply for cow and calf as stated above.  

- Halter broke cattle are preferred, but not required. (Please note & understand that halter broke cattle consistently sell for more than non-halter broke cattle)

  

Pictures & Videos:  

- Since this is an online sale. GOOD pictures and videos are very important. Animal must be clean, free of mats and burs, and standing on clean ground. (NO MUD) A side profile picture is required to be eligible into the sale.

- Videos of the animal walking is required. Video is ideally taken from the side profile of the animal, front and back angles are also helpful. On the halter is preferred, but not required. Video needs to be at least 10 seconds long. 

- Lineage Photos: if you have photos of the livestock applicant's sire and dam, or any animal in their pedigree PLEASE send them to us. Sire & Dam Photos are especially critical to have if you wish to sell animals less then 2 years old. (This is not a requirement, but again, this is an online sale. The more info/pictures that are available, the better!)

How to Apply:

- Email customerservice@highlandgenetics.com stating your interest. We will send you 2 online documents:

1. consignment application (up to 1 Lot) - This asks for your contact information and animal applicant information. If you wound like to consign more then 1 lot, please fill out our extended consignment application (allows up to 6 lots to apply)

2.  sale agreement form - This outlines our sale terms & conditions. We ask that you sign this and send it back to us.

 - Consignment Application MUST include photos and videos of the livestock you wish to consign. Please note that the photos and videos you send us will be the one's used for the sale. if you are applying several months early and wish to update pictures closer to the sale date, please inform us of that.  However, all paperwork, photos, and videos must be finalized within 30 days of the Sale. 

- We will notify you upon approval. Highland Genetics does have the right to decline the application if it does not meet the requirements listed above.

- Consignment Deadline For November 29th, 2024 Sale is October 10th

- Consignment Deadline For April 12th, 2025 Sale is March 1st.Â
