Schon Boden's Lydia is quickly becoming farm favorite around here. Sired by Buckwheat of Gurholt (D) + and out of Schon Boden's Claire, Lydia is a paternal sister to Highland Genetics famous donor cow, Schon Boden's Josie. Buckwheat is an AHCA Impact Sire and Lydia's dam, Claire, produced calves until she was 15 years old. Her dam, TY Lady Charity, was a foundation cow at Schon Boden Farms and she also produced calves until she was 15.  Well into her teens, Lydia still sports her larger frame beautifully along with having great feet, a god udder, and continues to raise calves. Additionally, Lydia is in the herdbook as an AHCA Elite Impact Dam. A rare and prestigious tittle in AHCA world honoring Lydia's longevity, fertility over time, and not only raising calves in tight intervals, but ones that top the charts in weaning weights Lydia is long, wide, square, docile, and is a prime example of what longevity should look like in a highly productive cow. In 2025 four Philip daughters sold in the United States at public auction, totaling over $50,000 in sales. Partnering with Glengorm Castle, Philip of Glengorm was introduced to the United States exclusively at Highland Genetics in 2023. Philip of Glengorm is the very first direct import from Glengorm Castle since Jock of Glengorm over 40 years ago. Philip is a staple to the breed. Structurally correct with lots of depth and an athletic stride. Sired by Philip of Richmond Hill and out of Sheila Mor 12th of Glengorm. These two are outstanding examples of the quality genetics Glengorm is known for producing. Glengorm females are made to cover a lot of ground in the Highlands.  They excel in having excellent feet, legs and udders. Philip of Glengorm's pedigree is a who's-who of UK-based genetics. Philip's calves average a BW of 58lbs and have a lot of depth of body and muscle gain.  Most of these genetics have never been publicly available in the past, and they can be found right here at Highland Genetics.
